Blake Lizotte Parents: Meet his Father and Mother

For Blake Joseph Lizotte, the talented American forward currently making waves with the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League (NHL), his journey is not only marked by his skill on the rink but also by the profound impact of his family, especially his mother, Lisa.

Born and raised in Lindstrom, Minnesota, Lizotte’s formative years were shaped by the close-knit community of Lindstrom, known as ‘America’s Little Sweden.’ However, at the tender age of 14, Blake faced a life-altering tragedy.

His father, who battled epilepsy, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of 45. This sudden loss left a void in the Lizotte family, and it fell upon Lisa, Blake’s mother, to navigate the challenging path of raising three boys on her own.

“My mom is one of the strongest people I know,” Blake reflected. “I thank her so much just for everything she has done for me. That had to be hard on her. Obviously, I have had a dream to play in the NHL for a while, and I felt my mom had to let me go chase my dream. She had to sacrifice a lot, so I will forever thank her for everything she has done for me.”

The strength and resilience demonstrated by Lisa Lizotte during such trying times undoubtedly played a crucial role in shaping Blake’s character. Her sacrifices and unwavering support allowed Blake to pursue his passion for hockey and work towards achieving his dream of playing in the NHL.
