Loredana Bertè, an Italian singer is known as the second wife of the Swedish former world No. 1 tennis player, Björn Borg.

Loredana was born on September 20, 1950 in Bagnara Calabra, Italy to Giuseppe Radames Bertè and Maria Salvina Dato. Following her parent’s divorce, Bertè moved with her mother to Rome where she attended the local Art Institute.

In her long music career, Loredana has worked with prominent Italian songwriters such as Pino Daniele, Ivano Fossati, Mario Lavezzi, Mango and Enrico Ruggeri, et al. Her sister Mia Martini was also an acclaimed singer.

She has experimented with different genres, from rock to reggae and funk to pop.

Bertè is known for the eccentric clothing she wears onstage for her performances.

Loredana Bertè and Björn Borg walked down the aisle in 1989. However, the duo divorced in 1993.
