Teruko Nakagam is the wife of wife of American actor, novelist and painter Billy Dee Williams.

The couple married on December 27, 1972. He filed for an amicable divorce from Nakagami in 1993.

Williams’ spokesman told Jet Magazine at the time that “theirs is an amicable parting, not a messy Hollywood divorce.” However, the couple was able to settle their differences and were living together again by 1997.

Nakagami was Born in Chicago & Later Spent Time in a Japanese-American Internment Camp. She was original named Irene, but changed her name to Teruko after meeting her first husband Wayne Shorter.
