Billy Connolly Siblings: Meet Michael Connolly & Margaret Connolly

Billy Connolly has two siblings, Michael Connolly and Margaret Connolly. Their mother left them when he was only four years old.

Connolly had his older sister, Florence cared for by their father’s two sisters, Margaret and Mona Connolly, in their cramped tenement in Stewartville Street, Patrick.

Connolly has described his sister as his great defender. Their aunts resented them for the fact that they had to sacrifice their young lives to look after them. It was Mona who was troubled the most by having to care for her niece and nephew.

As an actor, Connolly has appeared in several movies including, Indecent Proposal, Mrs Brown, Brave and others. On his 75th birthday in 2017, three portraits of Connolly were made by leading artists.
