Bill O’Brien was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2007 to 2020, concluding his career as the Houston Texans’ head coach/general manager.

During his twelve years of coaching, his teams compiled a win-loss record of 120-72-0. He was the Houston Texans’ head coach from 2014 to the 2020 season when the Texans finished 56-56-0.

He was a head coach for seven seasons during his tenure. On Monday, October 5, 2020, he was fired by the Texans. He was sacked following a bad start to the season and was replaced by Romeo Crennel as the Texans’ interim head coach.

In 2023, O’Brien will return to the NFL as the Patriots’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
