Susan Seaforth Hayes is an American dramatic actress and the wife of Bill Hayes an American actor and singer best known for his role as Doug Williams on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

The couple has been married since 1974. The couple star as onscreen partners on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

Their characters Doug and Julie were the first super couple on Days of Our Lives and daytime television, respectively, and are widely regarded as the first super couple on American daytime serials.

Their romance was so popular that they were featured on the cover of Time in 1976, making them the only soap opera stars to hold that honour to this day.

The couple released their joint autobiography, Like Sands Through an Hourglass, in 2005. In addition, the couple supports the West Texas Rehab Centre by hosting an annual telethon in Abilene, Texas.

Susan Seaforth is best known for her roles as Julie Williams on the NBC drama Days of Our Lives and Joanna Manning on the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless.
