Masterson is an American actor. He is known as Steve Hyde in That 70s Show. In May 2023, he was convicted of two out of three counts of forcible rape, the third being deadlocked due to a hung jury.

In March 2017, three women filed sexual assault allegations against Masterson, prompting a Los Angeles Police Department investigation. Masterson, through his agent, has denied the allegations. In response to the accusations, Netflix fired Masterson from its comedy series, The Ranch on December 5, 2017, in a statement.
On May 31, 2023, he was convicted of two counts of forcible rape in the case. The jury was hung 8-4 in favour of conviction on a third charge. He could face from 30 years to life in prison.
