Big Sean is not Nigerian. Big Sean, is an American rapper who was born in Santa Monica, California to Myra and James Anderson.

He attended the Detroit Waldorf School and graduated from Cass Technical High School with a 3.7 GPA
Big Sean began his music career in 2007 and rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of his third mixtape, Finally Famous Vol. 3: Big.
He then signed a recording contract with GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings, and in 2011, he released his debut studio album, Finally Famous, which featured the US top 10 single “Dance (Ass)” (featuring Nicki Minaj).

Big Sean’s second album, Hall of Fame (2013), followed it, and his third album, Dark Sky Paradise (2015), debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200. It also featured the hit singles “I Don’t Fuck with You” (with E-40) and “Blessings” (featuring Drake and Kanye West).
Big Sean has been nominated for four Grammys, including for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Collaboration (with Kanye West and John Legend), and Album of the Year. He has been nominated for six MTV Video Music Awards
