Joseph Lo Truglio was born on December 2, 1970, in Queens, New York, in the Ozone Park neighbourhood. He is of Italian and Irish heritage. He grew up in Margate, Florida, and graduated from Coconut Creek High School.
He is most known for his role as Charles Boyle on the Fox/NBC sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, although he has also been on The State and Reno 911!. Wet Hot American Summer, I Love You, Man, Superbad, Paul, Role Models, and Wanderlust are among his significant cinematic roles.
