Bertram Feinstein Cause Of Death: What Happened To Dianne Feinstein’s Second Husband?

Bertram Feinstein died at his home in 1978, after a long illness. He was aged 64 when he died and his wife Diane was by his side at the time of his passing.

Diane was married to Bertram Feinstein, from 1962 until his death in 1978. At that time, she had become President of San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

Before his demise, Bertram was a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the New York Academy of Sciences, The American Association for the Advancement of Science and the San Francisco Neurological Society.

For Diane, she went ahead to succeed Moscone as mayor and became the first woman to serve in that position.

During her tenure, she led the renovation of the city’s cable car system and oversaw the 1984 Democratic National Convention.

Despite a failed recall attempt in 1983, Feinstein was a very popular mayor and was named the most effective mayor in the country by City & State.
