Carol McGuirk was the wife of the WABC radio station’s American radio host Bernard McGuirk.

They dated for a long time before getting married. The couple had two children and resided in Long Beach, New York. Details about their personal lives have been kept private.
Bernard McGuirk passed away from brain cancer, triggered by prostate cancer on October 5, 2022, at the age of 64. He was surrounded by his family at a local hospital when he died.
McGuirk joined WABC with Don Imus, the late radio icon, in 2007, and his “personality from day one dramatically improved the camaraderie and morale of the entire radio station,” according to a statement from the station.

McGuirk was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021. McGuirk continued to work despite undergoing chemotherapy and suffering from appendicitis and pneumonia, according to WABC personality Curtis Sliwa.
WABC president Chad Lopez described McGuirk as the “backbone of this entire radio station” in a heartfelt written statement. “A true gentleman, he is the fabric of the morning show, and he will be missed by all who knew and listened to him.”
