For Ben Hutton, an ice hockey defenceman for the Vegas Golden Knights, his ascent to the NHL ranks can be credited, in no small part, to his dedicated parents, Janet and Jim Hutton.

His parents influence on his life and career is immeasurable. His introduction to the sport of hockey, while challenging, was made significantly easier thanks to the unwavering support of his mother, Janet.

Her dedication to helping Ben find his stride on the ice and her endless encouragement paved the way for his successful career.

His hard work and talent did not go unnoticed, as he was drafted 147th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 2012.

When speaking about his parents, Jim and Janet, Ben Hutton is quick to express his gratitude for their unwavering support. He acknowledges not only the time and effort they invested in furthering his hockey career but also in shaping him as a person.

“My dad, he gets along with anyone,” Ben reflects. “He’s a jolly, happy-go-lucky guy, very laid-back. I think I get a lot of my personality traits from him.”

“But at the same time, my mom is so caring, the type of person who would do anything to help anyone. She calls my buddies back home her ‘summer kids’ because she’s always taking care of them. My parents have always taken care of me too.”
