Prior to the scheduled hearing, Barker-Vormawor expressed his expectations for the state to continue with the case without interference.

He emphasized his readiness to face the charges brought against him and urged for transparency in the legal process.

“No, I do not want the Attorney-General to file any Nolle Prosequi in this matter. He has committed two years to it, best he sees it through,” he stated.

“I want them to continue the shambolic process they have set in motion. For everyone to see what a sham of a democracy this regime has made Ghana.”

Asserting his innocence, Barker-Vormawor affirmed his intention to plead “Not Guilty” in court, reinforcing his stance on the matter.
