Barbara Broccoli Parents: Meet Albert R. Broccoli, Dana Broccoli

Barbara Broccoli CBE is an American film and stage producer. Barbara Broccoli is the daughter of James Bond producer Albert R. “Cubby” Broccoli and actress Dana Wilson Broccoli.

Albert Broccoli, Barbara Broccoli’s father, directed more than 40 films during his career. The majority of the films were shot in the United Kingdom, frequently at Pinewood Studios.

Albert R. Broccoli is best known as the co-founder of Danjaq, LLC and Eon Productions, as well as the producer of many James Bond films.

Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman saw the films progress from low-budget to high-budget extravaganzas, and Broccoli’s heirs continue to produce new Bond films.

Dana Wilson Broccoli, her mother, wrote the novels Scenario for Murder (1949) and Florinda (1977), the latter of which was adapted into the West End musical La Cava in 2000. Broccoli died on February 29, 2004 in Los Angeles, California.

Barbara Broccoli grew up in London and went to Lady Eden’s School in Kensington. Broccoli earned a bachelor’s degree in motion picture and television communications from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
