Banzy in an interview on TV3 said his nomination is a testament that “finally my hard work is being recognized.”

“I feel very grateful. It’s already like a big win for me because seeing myself among mainstream artists, I’m just imagining the moment they will say and the nominees are; Banzy Banero, Sarkodie, Black Sherif,” he said on TV3’s New Day Show.

The 24-year-old believes the reason for this is his ability to take a cue from mature groups of people he associates with usually which makes him act and talk like he’s matured past his age.
According to the ‘Hosanna’ hitmaker, before the release of Hosanna, he had come up with two songs hoping to break through with those songs but vice versa happened.
Banzy Banero received three nominations for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards slated for June 1, 2024. The nominations include; new artiste of the year, Afrobeat song of the year, and most popular song of the year.
