The 2022 Ballon d’Or was the 66th annual ceremony of the Ballon d’Or, presented by France Football, recognising the best footballers in the world in the 2021-22 season.

The nominees for the ceremony were announced on August 12, 2022. For the first time in the history of the award, it will be given based on the result of the season (2021-2022) instead of the calendar year.

Was Ronaldo Present at Ballon d’or 2022?
Ronaldo finished in 20th place at the 2022 Ballon d’Or awards, his lowest ranking in 17 years.
Ronaldo has been on the 30-man shortlist for the award every year since the first nomination in 2005. However, the Portuguese has not attended the ceremony since 2017 when he last won the award.
