AY Makun’s Estranged Wife, Mabel, Requests Privacy for Herself and Ex-Husband

Mabel Makun, the wife of comedian AY Makun, has publicly confirmed their separation. Taking to Instagram on April 10, 2024, she expressed gratitude for the support received during this challenging time and clarified her silence was to respect privacy.

Addressing rumors of infidelity and her departure from their home, Mabel emphasized her commitment to her children’s well-being and chose not to engage with false claims circulating on social media.

Despite the unexpected turn in their marriage, Mabel expressed hope for a brighter future and requested privacy and respect during this transition. AY also shared a message of resilience, acknowledging the difficulties faced.

Earlier, AY had hinted at their marital struggles, reflecting on the complexities of blame in relationships. The couple, married since 2008 with two daughters, now navigates a new chapter with faith and grace.

AY wears many hats in Nigeria’s entertainment scene. He’s not only the face behind the popular A.Y Live shows and A.Y comedy skits but also made his mark as a movie producer with his debut film, “30 Days in Atlanta,” directed by Robert O. Peters.

In recognition of his efforts, he was appointed a U.N Peace Ambassador in 2009. Additionally, he serves as the CEO of Corporate World Entertainment Nigeria.
