Australian Rapper, Amethyst Amelia Kelly, best known as Iggy Azalea, has disclosed that she will be taking a break from music for a few years after she releases her forthcoming album dubbed “End of an Era.” She added that she needs to focus on other projects she’s passionate about and inspired by aside music.

“Shifting my energy and focus to what I’m most excited about is what is right for me and I hope you’ll continue to support whatever creative projects I’m out here doing!” she wrote.

The 31-year old songwriter moved from Australia to America to pursue her music career at the age of 16 years old. And she has been present in the music industry since 2011. Her debut album ‘The New Classic’ which was released in 2014 topped the charts, peaking among the top five streamed albums on several platforms. It topped Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, making her become the first non-American female rapper to achieve that milestone.
According to Wealth Gorilla, Azalea is worth about $6 million.
