Red Power Ranger actor, Austin St. John, was arrested on May 12, 2022, for an alleged $3.5 million fraudulent scheme.

Austin and 17 others are being bcharged with conspiracy with intention to commit wire fraud and are at the risk of going to jail for 20 years.
They are being accused of defrauding the Small Business Association’s Paycheck Protection Program.
They had applied for the small business loans with fake documents and diverted the funds for personal use.
The Paycheck Protection Program was set up during the pandemic to assist affected businesses bounce back by giving them loans.

Austin had planned to attend a comic festival in Iowa, Des Moines Con, but won’t make it anymore because of the current law suit.

Austin, whose real name is Jason Lawrence Geiger, starred in the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series.
He was later replaced by Steve Cardenas but continued to repeat his role in film and television.
In 2002, he starred on an episode of Power Rangers Wild Force.
