British-born American pediatric oncologist who is known for creating several nonprofit organisations throughout her life, Audrey Evans has died.

According to reports, she died in Philadelphia on September 29, 2022, at age 97.

Evans took on a total care approach for her patients and wanted to be known as the woman who cares. She was known as the “Mother of Neuroblastoma” for her work in the field and was also one of the co-founders of the original Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia as well as a co-founder of the St. James School in Philadelphia.
Evans was married to Dr, Guilio D’Angio, in 2005, when she was 80 years old. They met in 1953 while they were both working at Boston Children’s Hospital.
