Fatima Allam is the wife of Assem Allam, an Egyptian-British businessman who lived in East Yorkshire since 1968. Fatima Allam had three children together.

In recognition of the Allam family’s support for Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the birth center at Hull University Teaching Hospital was named after Fatima Allam.
After a £370,000 donation from Fatima Allam and her family, construction on the birth center began in November 2016.
The center offers women the opportunity to give birth without the need for medical intervention, with the assistance of midwives.

The birth center was established to meet the needs of women with “low-risk” pregnancies who want to give birth naturally with the assistance of midwives.

Assem Allam passed away on 2 December 2022 from cancer. He was 83. Posting on social media, his son, Ehab, paid tribute to his father, describing him as a “strong, loving and determined man.” In a statement Hull City said the club was “deeply saddened” to learn of his death.
