Ashley Judd was previously married to Scottish racing driver, Dario Franchitti, who was driving CART. They married in December 2001 at Skibo Castle but never had children.

Ashley Judd does not want to have children in the future. She explained that she realised it was selfish to pour out resources into making babies when those very resources and energy could not only help other children but through advocacy and service, transform the world into a place where no child ever needs to be born into poverty or abuse again.

She also mentioned that she has taken this decision because she believes the children here are already hers as well.
