The Asante Akyem North Health Directorate, in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly, has taken decisive action against the illegal sale of unapproved penis and buttocks enlargement products in Asante Akyem Agogo, destroying over 1,000 pieces of such items.

This proactive step aims to safeguard public health and curb the harmful effects of these unregulated products on the community, particularly the youth.
Municipal Health Director Roland Miah, speaking to Adom News correspondent Isaac Amoako, emphasized that the confiscated items included various body enhancement products, Viagra, and other concoctions that pose serious health risks.

The operation reflects the enforcement of laws prohibiting the sale of illegal drugs, herbal medicines, cosmetics, medical devices, and household chemical substances.
Mr. Miah urged the public, especially the youth, to steer clear of these dangerous products due to their potential severe side effects.
Municipal Chief Executive Francis Oti Boateng affirmed that this action is part of an ongoing effort, with plans for a task force to continue monitoring and enforcing regulations.
He emphasized the commitment to prosecute individuals involved in the illegal sale of such products, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
