Leong participated in two official A-international games for the All Whites in 1962 against visitors New Caledonia, winning both by scores of 4-1 on June 2 and 4 and earning a Chatham Cup winners medal as captain of Hamilton Technical Old Boys on September 1 at The Basin Reserve, Wellington, defeating Northern 4-1.
