Family and loved ones are in mourning after Arthur Leong passed away. After his birth, Leong developed to become a professional association football player.

It was stated that he has represented New Zealand on a global scale. Leong, who was born in Guangzhou, China, ultimately moved to New Zealand when he was just two years old.

He later became the first person of Chinese descent to play football for New Zealand. When he participated in New Zealand’s 3-2 victory over Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica) on June 6, 1959 (the country’s lone international game that year), he became the first person of Chinese ancestry to play for New Zealand.
Arthur served as the Waikato Football Association executive committee member in addition to being the coach, captain, and club president of Technical Old Boys.
