Arsema Thomas Parents: Meet Adebisi Babatunde Thomas and Nardos Bekele-Thomas

Arséma Thomas is a Nigerian-born American actress. She is the daughter of Adebisi Babatunde Thomas and Nardos Bekele-Thomas.

Her father Adebisi Babatunde Thomas was a Nigerian and her mother Nardos Bekele-Thomas is an Ethiopian. Her parents were both diplomats.

She grew up in several countries, including Tanzania, Benin, Togo, and Kenya, as well as the Comoros and India.

Arséma  Thomas graduated from Linden Hall High School. Originally intending to pursue a “safe career” in global public health, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016 and a Master of Public Health from Yale University in 2018.

However, she decided to pursue acting after losing her father to Lou Gehrig’s disease. Arséma Thomas landed her first feature film role as Rebecca in Redeeming Love after signing with an agent in South Africa.

Also in 2022, it was announced that Thomas would play a young Lady Danbury in the upcoming Netflix period drama prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which premiered in May 2023.
