Martin McDonagh is a British-Irish playwright, screenwriter, and filmmaker. Martin McDonagh has been in a relationship with actress and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge since 2018.

The couple first became an item in October 2017. They were seen together at a screening of Martin McDonagh’s Oscar-nominated film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

In January 2018, the couple was official. They posed for photos at the Golden Globes and exchanged a kiss when his film won Best Screenplay.

When she was first linked to McDonagh, Waller-Bridge was still married to producer and director, Conor Woodman, who is 11 years her senior.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is best known as the creator, head writer, and star of the BBC sitcom Fleabag (2016–2019), which was based on her one-woman show of the same name.

For Fleabag, Waller-Bridge received the British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance, three Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards (Best Actress  Television Series Musical or Comedy and Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy).
