Are Mike And Eric Comrie Related?

Former ice hockey player, Mike Conroe is an older half-brother to Winnipeg Jets ice hockey player, Eric Conroe.

Mike was born in 1980 and Eric was born in 1995. They are both sons of The Brick founder Bill Comrie.

Mike Comrie

Mike played ice hockey for the National Hockey League (NHL) for 13 years across various teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He retired in 2012 following a series of hip surgeries.

Eric Comrie

Eric currently plays ice hockey for the Winnipeg Jets of the NHL, as a goaltender.

The Winnipeg Jets had drafted him in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Eric’s career with the Jets has been back and forth. In 2019, the Jets signed him to a two-year contract extension worth $1.4 million but was hijacked by the Arizona Coyotes.

Afterward, the Coyotes traded him to the Detroit Red Wings but in the same year, Eric made his way back to the Jets.

Following a delayed 2020–21 season, Eric was placed on waivers by Winnipeg and later on hijacked by the New Jersey Devils in 2021, but two months after, he was brought back to the Jets.
