Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj are not friends. The two female icons got involved in an unpleasant feud following the success of Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” success where Kim accused the Trinidadian-born rapper of copying her image.

Lil’ Kim hails from Brooklyn, New York City. Lil’ Kim has sold more than 15 million albums and 30 million singles worldwide.

In 2001, Lil’ Kim reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with the single “Lady Marmalade”.

Lil’ Kim’s song “Magic Stick ” reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and became her 2nd-highest-charting single as a lead artist.

Lil’ Kim has signed with Wilhelmina Models, the fashion brand Candie’s, and the fashion house Iceberg.

Lil’ Kim launched a designer watch collection, titled Royalty by Lil’ Kim in 2004 and also debuted her first clothing line, entitled Hollyhood.

In 2012, Lil’ Kim was listed on VH1’s 100 Greatest Women in Music list at number 45. This was the second-highest position for a solo female hip-hop artist.
