Yes they are. James Joyce’s famous letters to Nora Barnacle are at times pornographic, but they are also romantic, poetic, fetishist, and even funny.

They were written specifically for Nora in November of 1909, while Joyce was in Dublin and she was in Trieste supporting their two children during difficult times.
Joyce’s letters to his wife were collected in the 1975 book Selected Letters of James Joyce. The text has since been out of print, but the letters have been published and preserved online.
