Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois are undoubtedly two stars in their respective positions but the two don’t get along at all – despite putting on the same national team shirt.

The controversy between them happened when Kevin’s girlfriend cheated on him for Courtois.

It should be noted that Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne were best friends before the incident happened.

The reason behind their mutual hatred is simple: Thibaut Courtois “stole” Kevin’s girlfriend back in 2014 – she admitted herself to having a fling with Tibo, but insisted it happened only after Kevin De Bruyne cheated on her.

Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois have been in open conflict ever since.

Former Belgium manager Marc Wilmots even asked the former if he should avoid calling up the latter.

However, Kevin De Bruyne’s answer was simple.

“Although I still can not believe what Courtois has done, we continue to work together professionally.”
