CODA stars Emilia Jones as the titular child of deaf adults (CODA) and only hearing member of a deaf family, who attempts to help her family’s struggling fishing business, while at the same time pursuing her own aspirations.
An international co-production between the United States and France with original La Famille Bélier crew member Philippe Rousselet acting once again as producer for the remake, the film was filmed on location in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in the United States.
