Are Amy Adams and Isla Fisher related?

Despite their resemblance, Isla Fisher, the Australian actress and author is not related to Amy Adams, the American actress best known for both her comedic and dramatic roles.

Amy has also been featured three times in annual rankings of the world’s highest-paid actresses.

Fisher was born on Feb. 3, 1976 to in Muscat, Oman, to parents Elspeth Reid and Brian Fisher from Scotland.

Fisher’s father was working as a banker in Oman for the United Nations.

However, at age six, Fisher and her family returned to their hometown of Bathgate, Scotland, then moved to Perth, Western Australia. Fisher has four brothers.

Amy Adams, on the other hand, was born on Aug. 20 1974 in Vicenza, Italy, to American parents Kathryn and Richard Adams.

Adams was born at the time when her father was stationed with the U.S. Army at the Caserma Ederle military complex.

Adams has four brothers and two sisters.
