Eid-ul-Fitr, also known as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” holds immense religious significance for Muslims, symbolizing the conclusion of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

During Eid-ul-Fitr, Muslims engage in various festivities and traditions, including communal prayers, feasting, and acts of charity, to celebrate the spiritual fulfillment attained through fasting during Ramadan.

The declaration of April 11 as a public holiday allows Muslims in Ghana and across the nation to observe and partake in the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr with their families, communities, and fellow believers.
