Anthony Ciccone Wife: Was Madonna’s Brother Married?

It is uncertain if late Anthony Ciccone was ever married.

He had been an alcoholic more than half of his life and was never stable enough to handle affairs of everyday life.

Anthony Ciccone was the older brother of superstar singer Madonna.

Ciccone had been raised in a family of seven children and had battled alcoholism all his life to the extent of being rendered homeless for years.

Ciccone was born in Rochester, Michigan, in 1956. He grew up in the city of Detroit, with his other siblings. While Madonna moved to New York in 1978 to pursue her music career, Ciccone remained in Michigan.

Ciccone passed away on February 24, 2023. He was aged 66.

His sister-in-law Melanie said, “Anthony Ciccone, exited this earthly plane last evening. I’ve known him since I was 15, in the spring of our lives in Michigan so many years now gone.”

“Anthony was a complex character; and god knows: we tangled in moments…but I loved him, and understood him better than I was sometimes willing to let on”, she added.

Ciccone was never in good terms with his sister, Madonna and other family members before his death, because he believed they never cared about him.

“I’m a zero in their eyes – a non-person. I’m an embarrassment. If I froze to death, my family probably wouldn’t know or care about it for six months”, Ciccone had once said while he was alive.

In addition, he held personal grievances against Madonna.

“I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me. We never loved each other”, he had said about Madonna some time ago.
