On April 24, 2022, former student of The University of Georgia, Annie Udell of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, was killed in A ghastly single-vehicle accident.

The accident occurred in St. Simons Island, Glynn County.
Police reports according to The Glynn County Police Department statements shows that, around 4:30 a.m. very early on that Sunday morning, officers received an emergency/distressed notification about a ghastly vehicle accident that has occurred in Glynn County neighborhood.
Upon reaching the scene at the 5900 block of Frederica Road on St. Simons Island, officers located an adult female victim who was suffering from a severe life-threatening injuries sustained from the just occurred accident.

The female victim who was later identified as the driver of the crashed vehicle, Annie Udell, 23, of St. Simons Island, was traveling in a brown Nissan Rogue, when she for some unknown reasons left the road and struck an oak tree beside the road on Frederica Road not far from The Oglethorpe Point Elementary School.
Unfortunately Annie succumbed to the life-threatening injuries she sustained from the fatal car crash, according to The Glynn County Coroner Marc Neu.
The crash remained under The Glynn County Police Department officers investigation.
