Annie Avril Nightingale CBE was an English radio and television broadcaster. She was the first female presenter on BBC Radio 1 in 1970. Nightingale specialized in championing new and underground music, she also led the movement and encouraged other women to become DJs and broadcasters.

Lucy Wilkes and Alex Nightingale are Annis Nightingale’s children. Nightingale has been married twice: first to writer Gordon Thomas, with whom she had two children, Alex and Lucy; and subsequently to actor Binky Baker, who starred in Gangster No. 1 (2000). Both unions ended in divorce.

There isn’t much information about Annie Nightingale’s kids at the moment. They lived their lives in privacy, and people felt for them at the moment because of the loss of their mother.
At the age of 19, she began a relationship with a married newspaper reporter, Gordon Thomas. The couple eloped to Brighton and later married, however, they had divorced by 1970.
