Anna Carey parents: Who are Anna Carey parents?

Irish novelist Anna Carey has not disclosed the identity of her parents to the public.

Her parents must have been supportive of her interest in the arts right from her teenage years to when she graduated from New York University and Brooklyn College, where she studied fiction.

Who Is Anna Carey?

Anna Carey is a writer of young adult novels such as The Rebecca Series, The Mollie Series and The Boldness of Betty (2020).

Carey was born in 1975, and first took interest in singing as a teenager. After a number of recordings with the band El Diablo, Carey embraced writing as a full-time career.

Carey’s first novel was The Real Rebecca (2011), which won the Children’s Book of the Year in the Senior Category, at the Irish Book Awards.

The book was followed by the sequels – Rebecca’s Rules (2012), Rebecca Rocks (2013) and Rebecca is Always Right (2014).

Carey is the author of the historical fiction series The Making of Mollie (2016), and its sequel Mollie on the March (2018).

In 2020, Carey published the book The Boldness of Betty.

The book was shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year in the Senior category, and the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards.
