Rose is an award-winning actress and singer.
She attended Bloomfield high school, where she began her acting career from her freshman year.
She proceeded to Florida A&M University, where she earned her first Degree in theatre and later studied drama at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Rose is best known for being the voice behind Tiana, in Disney’s Black American princess, The Princess and the Frog (2009).

Rose is also known for appearing in Dreamgirls (2006), Change (2004), A Raisin in the Sun (2014).
In 2020, she starred in the Netflix musical Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey.
The Tony award-winning actress has starred in many other movies, including For Colored Girls, The Good Wife, Bag of Bones, “Gone Abie Gone”, The Simpsons, Roots, and in the BET drama The Quad.
In 2021, she starred in the Netflix series Maid.
