Angelo Bruschini was an English guitarist from the vibrant city of Bristol, whose legacy continues to resonate in the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide.

Bruschini’s musical journey began as a member of various bands, including The Numbers, Rimshots, and The Blue Aeroplanes.

His guitar skills graced The Blue Aeroplanes, and his contribution to their sound spanned over several years. His distinctive guitar work was a cornerstone of the band’s music, showcasing his versatility and artistic brilliance.

However, it was his collaboration with the iconic trip-hop collective, Massive Attack, that catapulted Bruschini into the limelight. He became a crucial member of the group, both in the studio and on tour.

His exceptional guitar work on Massive Attack’s groundbreaking albums, “Mezzanine” (1998) and “100th Window” (2003), played an integral role in shaping the band’s unique sound. The dark, atmospheric vibes of “Mezzanine” and the evocative melodies of “100th Window” were enhanced by Bruschini’s unmatched musical finesse.

In addition to his work with bands, Bruschini took on a role as a producer. Notably, in 1997, he produced Strangelove’s eponymous album, showcasing his versatility and expertise behind the scenes as well.

In 2003, he played guitar for Jane Taylor’s award-winning single, “Blowing This Candle Out.”

Unfortunately, Bruschini’s life was cut short by lung cancer on the 23rd of October, 2023. He was 62 years old at the time of his passing.
