Andy Pettitte went to Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas, and pitched for the baseball team. His fastball has a velocity of 85-87 mph (137-140 km/h). Pettitte also played centre and nose guard for the football squad at his high school.
He was drafted by the Yankees organization in 1990, and he signed with them roughly a year later. He spent 18 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), mostly with the New York Yankees.

The former pitcher also pitched for the Houston Astros. Pettitte earned five World Series championships with the Yankees and was a three-time All-Star. With 19 postseason wins, he is the all-time leader in MLB.
