Andrew Woolfolk Cause Of Death

American saxophonist, Andrew Woolfolk, passed away on April 24, 2022, from natural causes. He was aged 71.

Woolfolk, was better known as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire. He was a popular figure in jazz, R&B, soul, funk, disco, pop, EDM, Latin, and Afro-pop genres.

Woolfolk has composed popular songs like September, Let’s Groove, Boogie Wonderland, After The Love Has Gone, Fantasy, Reasons, Shining Star, and many more.

Many music fans have conveyed their heartfelt condolences after learning of his demise. The Earth, Wind & Fire band wrote:

The band wrote “We turned buddies and bandmates after assembly in high school. His identity was Andrew Paul Woolfolk. We misplaced him tonight after he had been sick for greater than six years. From this Land of the Dying to the Land of the Dwelling, he has Transitioned on to the Without end.”

“Wonderful memories. Exceptional ability. Funny, but also competitive. With a quick wit. And there’s always the styling. Boroski… My friend, I’ll see you on the other side”

Born on October 11, 1950, in Texas, United States, Woolfolk played in the United States School in Orleans, France school band during his father’s military deployment.

Woolfolk also collaborated with artists such as Deniece Williams, Stanley Turrentine, Phil Collins, Twentynine, Philip Bailey, and Level 42.

Woolfolk attended East High School in Denver, Colorado. In 1972 he joined the band Earth, Wind & Fire as a saxophonist and became a longstanding member.

Woolfolk was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire in 1999. In 2017, Woolfolk was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.
