During the 20th London anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera in 2006, Lloyd Webber called Brightman a “wonderful woman” and “absolutely beloved mentor.” He was a special guest at her 1997 concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Sarah Brightman resumed her music career with former Enigma producer Frank Peterson as a classical crossover artist after retiring from the stage and divorcing Lloyd Webber.
