Reyes’s journey to excellence began in the vibrant town of Puerto Tejada, Colombia. It was here that he took his first steps in the sport, fostering his talents within the youth ranks of his childhood club, Atlético Nacional. His rapid progression through the ranks culminated in a significant moment on October 27, 2018, as he made his debut with the first team during a match against Once Caldas. While the match resulted in a 2–0 loss, it marked the commencement of a promising career. In 2019, Reyes further etched his name in the history books by netting his debut goal for the club during a remarkable 3–1 victory against Unión Magdalena.

The year 2020 ushered in a new chapter for Reyes, as it was announced in February that he would embark on a year-long loan to Inter Miami for their inaugural season. On March 7, 2020, Reyes made his debut for Miami, starting in a match against D.C. United, despite a 2-1 defeat. A facial fracture sustained during a clash with the Philadelphia Union led to Reyes missing a month of matches during the season. Nevertheless, he made his presence felt in 13 games during his debut season with Miami. As the season drew to a close, it was revealed in December that the club would not be pursuing his permanent acquisition.

The narrative of success continued, as Reyes notched his second goal of the season against the New England Revolution in June 2021. His impact extended beyond scoring, with Reyes providing an assist to Cristian Cásseres Jr. for a game-winning goal in a Hudson River Derby match against rival New York City FC on October 17, 2021.

The year 2023 witnessed Reyes’s continued ascendancy, solidifying his position in New York’s starting lineup. On March 11, 2023, he scored a crucial equalizing goal for New York during a 1-1 draw against Minnesota United. Demonstrating his invaluable contribution, Reyes opened the scoring for New York in a 2-1 victory over CF Montréal on May 20, 2023.
