Andrea Ferber, renowned as the celebrated German Schlager singer Andrea Berg, was born in Krefeld into the loving family of Helga Zellen and Hans-Jürgen Zellen.

Andrea’s journey into the world of music traces back to her childhood, where she discovered her passion for performing through short sketches at carnivals and various celebrations.
Even during her early years, she exhibited a flair for the stage, experimenting with entertaining others. As a young musician, she played with a band and took on diverse roles, from performing on stage to working backstage on set-up and even driving the band’s van.
Balancing her artistic pursuits, Andrea Berg also pursued a career in healthcare. She supported herself by working as a nurse in the intensive care and oncology departments of a hospital, showcasing her resilience and determination.

Her musical breakthrough occurred in 1992 when producer Eugen Römer discovered a cassette with Andrea’s recordings. Impressed by her remarkable voice, Römer wasted no time in recording the first tracks for her debut studio album, “Du bist frei” (“You Are Free”).
Following her initial success, Römer continued to produce Andrea’s second studio album, “Gefühle” (“Feelings”), which marked her commercial breakthrough. The singles “Wenn du mich willst, dann küß mich doch” (“If You Want Me, Then Kiss Me”) and “Einmal nur mit dir alleine sein” became hits, propelling Andrea Berg to greater heights.
In 1994, Andrea reached the pinnacle of success, securing the first place on the ZDF-Hitparade with the song “Steig wieder auf,” recorded as part of the group Alle für Alle. With a career marked by resilience, talent, and a unique voice, Andrea Berg continues to captivate audiences with her Schlager music.
