His formal training took place at Arts Educational Schools in London, where he honed his craft and laid the foundation for a successful acting career.

Smith’s television journey began with a notable appearance in an episode of the American Epix drama series Berlin Station in 2016. However, it was his portrayal of Gray Atkins in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2019 to 2022 that truly catapulted him into the spotlight.

In addition to his soap opera roles, Toby-Alexander Smith displayed his acting prowess in the series Flack in 2019, where he played the character Terry. His journey also extended into the DC universe’s Krypton, where he portrayed the role of Lo-Ran, showcasing his ability to inhabit diverse characters across different genres.
