Amou Haji Obituary

Amou Haji was an Iranian man who was known for being the world’s dirtiest man.

Amou Haji was not his real name, but a nickname given to elderly people. He lived between a makeshift shack and a hole in the ground in the village of Kahrar-e-Dejgah Fars.

Due to his fear of soap and water, he did not bathe for 50 years but was pressured into doing so in late 2022, shortly before his death.

He died on October 23, 2022, in Kharar-e Dejgah.

Reports suggest that he came ill and died shortly after on October 23.

He was the subject of a 2013 documentary titled The Strang Life of Amou Haji.
