Amou Haji Cause of Death

A man who has been described by the media as the world’s dirtiest man has died at age 94.

Haji had refused to use soap and water for more than half a century, fearing it would make him sick. He lived in the southern province of Fars. He had avoided previous attempts by villagers to get him clean.

According to local media, he succumbed to pressure and washed a few months ago.

Reports suggest that he came ill and died shortly after on October 23.

He was the subject of a 2013 documentary titled The Strang Life of Amou Haji.
