Amir Coffey played high school basketball for the Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and prior to graduating from high school, he won the Minnesota Mr Basketball in 2016.
After high school, Amir Coffey played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s basketball team at the University of Minnesota. Amir Coffey appeared in the 2019 National Basketball Association Draft but was not drafted by any team.
