The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s strawweight division is home to Brazilian mixed martial artist Amanda Lemos (born May 22, 1987). She is currently ranked #5 in the UFC women’s strawweight rankings and #14 in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings as of August 8, 2023.
Lemos made her promotional debut on July 16, 2017 at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio, filling in for the injured Lina Länsberg on short notice. Smith was her opponent. Through a knockout in the second round, she dropped the lopsided fight.

On March 28, 2018, reports stated that Lemos has been suspended for two years by USADA as a result of a test result for stanozolol and its metabolite from a sample collected on November 8, 2017. At UFC 292 on August 19, 2023, Lemos will compete against Zhang Weili for the women’s strawweight title.
